We are excited that the City of Lynn has announced the selection of CommunityScale as the consultant for the comprehensive Zoning Code Rewrite project. This initiative will modernize Lynn’s zoning regulations to reflect contemporary needs and align with the Vision Lynn comprehensive plan and state laws.

This project aims to develop a zoning framework that is not only compliant with state frameworks but also easy to understand and apply. It focuses on encouraging smart growth while respecting the existing community fabric, especially in downtown Lynn. The approach involves extensive community engagement, leveraging innovative tools like surveys, interviews, and workshops to ensure diverse community representation.

Joining CommunityScale are subconsultants Levine Planning Strategies and BBHS Law, bringing additional expertise in inclusionary zoning, economic feasibility, and municipal land use law.
