CommunityScale worked with the City of Malden to craft compliant zoning for the MBTA Communities Zoning requirement. The proposed zoning was recommended unanimously by the Planning Board last week and received support from all community members who commented at both meetings.

The City Council adopted the zoning on December 12, 2023. The new zoning creates an overlay with a series of subdistricts that focuses multifamily development capacity and mixed-use development around their two station areas.
